Sep 29, 2010 · Means DBV performs READ operation on given datafile at OS level. If any problem occurs during a read operation on an operating system level at that time we are getting above DBV-00102 error. It doesn’t indicate the corruption of datafile but it due to the problem found in disk io.

Feb 11, 2005 · While doing dbv (db verify on the whole database) the eror above appears. I read somewhere that resizing the database can solve the problem: alter database datafile '<file>' resize <new_size>. This this procedure correct and when yes, why does it solve the problem? Mar 15, 2012 · Perform DBVERIFY repeatedly to confirm the corruption on same block. Perform an offline verification of the relevant files if necessary.
